Volunteers – Teens Educating and Confronting Homophobia (T.E.A.C.H.)

Emphasizing skills-building and partnership, T.E.A.C.H. trains dynamic youth peer facilitators to lead anti-homophobia activities that encourage participants to think critically about homophobia and heterosexism in their communities and the issues faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth.  By sharing their own experiences of homophobia, T.E.A.C.H. facilitators help participants to confront their issues and beliefs around homophobia and heterosexism. All volunteers accepted into this program participate in a comprehensive training course. Volunteers must be between 16-23 years old, and must be able to volunteer for at least one year.
